Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for more than 20 years. She is also a seasoned public speaker. Feminist Frequency was created by Sarkeesian. It hosts video clips featuring commentary and analysis of the representations of women that are prevalent in popular culture. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian as well as an American feminist media critic. Feminist Frequency is a not-for profit site for education that investigates gender representation in popular cultural narratives is founded and directed by Sarkeesian. Aiming to dispel the myths related to women in popular media, she is also working on issues related the targeted harassment women and other classes of people on the internet. Sarkeesian is a graduate in the fields of social thought and political science from York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaking. Sarkeesian delivered speeches to the TEDxWomen XOXO Fest and United Nations Broadband Working Group. She has been interested in feminist issues, gender and gender equality at a young stage of her life. In 2009, while continuing to study at the university level she started her Feminist Frequency web site.
