Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney was born on the 19th of November, 1959. The actress is an American actress. Through a long career that spans 30 years, she's well-known for her performance across various genres of screen as well as stage. Janney has received many awards including an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. She earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney has also been nominated for at least two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston as a child, but was raised in Dayton (Ohio). The actress received a scholarship for education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after graduating from Kenyon College. Janney made her television debut in 1999 with the character C. J. Cregg who played the character on NBC's political drama The West Wing (2000-2006). She received Four Primetime Emmy Awards for this part. As a result of her role as Margaret Scully, a Showtime actress in The period-based drama Masters of Sex, Janney was awarded this year's Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
